Committees

The Saskatchewan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation relies on volunteer work from it’s members.  SaskBJJ currently has three positions that are volunteer based.  If you would like to help build the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the province of Saskatchewan please contact us.


Chair of Referee Development Committee – Toni Isaac

Roles of the Position:

  • Responsible for maintaining contact listing for all officials trained by SaskBJJ through provided clinics or courses.
  • Arrange Officials training a minimal of once per year.
  • Take requests for available refs for SaskBJJ sanctioned tournaments if requested by tournament organizer.
  • Act as Chief Official on availability at all SaskBJJ sanctioned tournaments.

Chair of Coaching Development Committee – AJ Scales

Roles of the Position:

  • Responsible for maintaining contact list of registered coach with SaskBJJ.
  • Confirm and provide information to all coaches with online course for Respect in Sport.
  • Provide dates and information for NCCP certification for all registered SaskBJJ coaches.
  • Liaison to the Canadian Jiu Jitsu Association.
  • Provincial team development.

Chair of Memberships Committee – Ramona Furkert

Roles of the Position:

  • Maintaining all individual and club memberships.
  • Attend all sanctioned SaskBJJ tournaments on availability.
