It’s important to understand the distinction between Saskatchewan provincial health coverage (available with your Saskatchewan Health Card) and the additional coverage provided by your Saskbjj annual membership:
- Saskatchewan Health Card: Covers basic medical services like doctor visits, hospital stays, and surgeries.
- It does not cover private rehab, physiotherapy, dental injuries, or out-of-country emergencies related to sports injuries.
- SBJJF Sport Accident & Liability Insurance: Provides additional protection during training and competition. It includes:
- Accidental injury coverage (when health plans don’t pay 100%)
- Liability protection for clubs, coaches, and participants
- Coverage during sanctioned tournaments and training across Canada
