Volunteer Leadership at SaskBJJ
The Saskatchewan Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (SaskBJJ) relies on the dedication and volunteer work of its members to grow and support the sport throughout the province. Currently, SaskBJJ has three volunteer-based leadership positions. If you’re interested in contributing to the development of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Saskatchewan, we encourage you to get in touch with us.
Chair of Referee Development Committee – Toni Isaac (CJA)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an up-to-date contact list of all officials trained through SaskBJJ clinics and courses
- Coordinate officials training at least once per year
- Respond to requests for referees at SaskBJJ-sanctioned tournaments, as needed by organizers
- Act as Chief Official (subject to availability) at SaskBJJ-sanctioned tournaments
Chair of Coaching Development Committee – AJ Scales
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a contact list of all coaches registered with SaskBJJ
- Assist coaches with access to the Respect in Sport online course
- Provide dates and details for NCCP certification opportunities
- Serve as liaison with the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Association
- Support the development of the SaskBJJ provincial team
Chair of Membership Committee – Ramona Furkert
Responsibilities:
- Maintain records of all individual and club memberships
- Attend SaskBJJ-sanctioned tournaments (subject to availability)
